I’m not sure why, but my eldest developed a strong attachment to this prawn at my sister-in-law’s company picnic. So much so she wanted to bring it home and make it her “pet”. We had to assure her it would go a bit off and wasn’t really an appropriate choice for an animal companion, especially considering it was, not to put too fine a point on it…dead. Besides, she still had the deaf cat, crazy chickens, and fluctuating number of goldfish at home.
So she contented herself with a polaroid memory, although in this instance the expired film gave her a bit of a prawny colouring in some sort of weird coincidence.

oh my gosh… this could be straight from a polaroid campaign. it’s absolutely perfect, cameron.
wonderful Cameron….Like Angie said it could have come from the ad campaign! I have featured this one tonight if that’s aright with you? Hell I’ve done it anyway

A classic. Full of charm, sweetness and humor – really a great one, Cameron.
What a terrific shot. Love it!
Priceless, truly priceless. So much to love about this.
are those lightleaks or just the result of the film being expired? they add some nice texture to the shot.
Thanks all,
this image will be one of those ones that will come out at her 21st birthday (or is 18 the big one these days?)
…oh boy am I going to be in trouble!
Have a great weekend everyone!
@ William – thanks. I think they may be a combination of light leaks and expired emulsion. The older SX-70 integral film cartridges often had warped cases, so light would often get onto the film, but the old emulsion also had weird colour shifts, so this is probably a synergistic effect.
ah i love the look of polaroid. beautiful tones.
