Wind Power

windpower

Originally posted on Jan 31 2007 as one of the original posts on the old plastic lens. Loooking like a mutant weathervane gone bonkers, this kinetic sculpture sits high in the Melbourne Docklands precinct. Each individual armature turns independently of each other in the wind, making for a very hypnotic & colourful phenomenon.

Thanks Angie, it may not be that perfect anymore, as I accidently pulled the lens off it the other day! (thankfully I got it back on again, I hope it hasn’t changed its unique optical characteristics too much)

This one is still my favorite. It looks so ultra modern. And to think it was taken with the not so modern camera.
    Great shot!!
