I'm generalising of course, there are many who appreciate these scenes and try to preserve our past. Entropy does seem inevitable...ha! How's that for melancholy! I would hope that this structure will still be there for a while, albeit unmaintained. I found something similar on the way to Kyneton - but I suspect that's more farming related than mining related. It makes for some beautiful imagery but a part of me is concerned about the loss of history. Australia is a very young nation and we don't have a lot of history to lose...
