Well I’m glad someone thinks I have some influence, I must show my wife an email I just received. All jokes aside, though, given my love of animals and photography I’ll share it with you, because it’s always nice (especially for the amateur photographers among us) to know you can have a chance of actually getting some money from your favourite passions.
Hi,
I’m writing to let you and your readers know about a photo contest that’s going on over at Anamigo.com. There’s a daily prize of $25 and a weekly prize of $125, totaling $300-a-week for the cutest pet photos (voted by users). Anamigo.com is a new online community for pet lovers and their pets. It doesn’t cost a thing and all you have to do is join. I’ve put together this minisite which explains everything:

Because you have an influential online presence on The Plastic Lens, I thought this might be something you would like to share with your readers. Feel free to steal anything from the news release and if you are able to post, or have any questions please let me know.
Thank you so much,
Dan
To illustrate this post I have included a photograph of the plastic lens family dog, ‘Mr Sooty’ – this image is also a good example of what you get when you use the 35mm accessory back for the Diana + series with the panoramic ‘sprockets and all’ mask (click on the image to see it full size). Now I know that sometimes pet photos get a bad wrap, but it is without question that animals and their bond with humans make up some of the better things in life. So not only do you have a site where you can share your favourite furry/feathery/scaly/ friends images without fear or favour, you also have a chance to win some money from the experience! Whilst money is certainly not the most important thing in life and doesn’t buy happiness, it can buy film (and pet food) – so go to it!
