Two years ago I decided to abandon my first photoblog ‘notreality’ to concentrate on ‘The Plastic Lens’ as a testament to how much I loved photography with plastic and low tech cameras. It has grown and changed a couple of times along the way and I lost a lot of data (photos, text, comments etc) in one transmogrification that didn’t work out quite right, but it is still going and I intend for it to keep going as long as I do (and as long as I can keep affording server space!)
These beauties above are my father-in-laws pumpkins in all their glory, one of the first shots I took with the Empire Junior camera I won from Susan Burnstine in an online raffle (and got me started on this whole low-tech, plastic photography adventure). This shot is one of the ‘lost photographs’ from the first plastic lens manifestation and I have decided to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the site by reposting it, it was the first photo uploaded to the original Plastic Lens on the 27th January 2007. All of the comments up to JW’s birthday wish to the blog are from the original post. Thanks all.

Camera: Empire Junior Film: Forgotten Data (I could check my negatives archive but I’m too lazy)
