Two years ago I decided to abandon my first photoblog ‘notreality’ to concentrate on ‘The Plastic Lens’ as a testament to how much I loved photography with plastic and low tech cameras. It has grown and changed a couple of times along the way and I lost a lot of data (photos, text, comments etc) in one transmogrification that didn’t work out quite right, but it is still going and I intend for it to keep going as long as I do (and as long as I can keep affording server space!)
These beauties above are my father-in-laws pumpkins in all their glory,one of the first shots I took with the Empire Junior camera I won from Susan Burnstine in an online raffle (and got me started on this whole low-tech, plastic photography adventure). This shot is one of the ‘lost photographs’ from the first plastic lens manifestation and I have decided to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the site by reposting it, it was the first photo uploaded to the original Plastic Lens on the 27th January 2007.
