Bells and a Big Wheel

June 2, 2007

From my first roll from the Asiana after I sorted the light-leak. This shows the Federation Bells in the foreground with a rather large Ferris Wheel that has been sitting at Birrarung Mar for the last few months. Very few people seemed to be riding on it on this day, I'm not sure why...perhaps it was due to the wind gusts of up to 120 kmph that were blowing up that day! That would certainly inspire confidence.
I would have taken a spin on it myself if it weren't for the small matter of the breeze... Camera: Asiana with Fuji Pro 400H

Very cool. And no, I wouldn't get on a ferris wheel with those winds either. :-)

I love this Cameron as for getting on one...I did as a kid but not sure I would now. This place looks like a great source of material. Phil

Thanks Otto, Phil - if the winds allow, I would get on, but I prefer the faster, scarier rides. *Note - I mean scarier in the context of you get scared witless but know you'll still be ok, as opposed to being scared witless and wondering if the bloody wheel is going to blow over!
