Big Face

February 7, 2007

Today I decided to continue to attempt to capture some more Melbourne Icons, such as Luna Park here, from a less formal perspective. I suppose a lot of my shots could be perceived as the "looking upwards" type of composition, if only because I'm not that tall really!

I took this photo using my Daina F on Fuji 160 NPC. It was hot today, 38º C and I stupidly forgot to put a bottle of water in my backpack. By the time I had wandered around Prahran and St Kilda for a bit I was quite dehydrated but didn't really notice at the time, being too busy looking for appropriate photographic subjects.

The second I saw this close-up shot I new it was "Mr. Luna clown face guy" from st kilda. I was there living very close to the Espy for 3 months. Great shot, there are so many images of this character, but you captured the right amount. I have a few good ones from st kilda/melbourne on my site!

Thanks for the vist and comment Rob. The espy has some great counter meals I used to see a few bands play there (back in my youth!) I'm glad you don't think this shot of Luna Park is too clichéd!
