Mike and the Fujipet

August 8, 2007

I'm feeling a bit blurry lately as I'm doing a stint of night-shift, so apologies for any inconsistencies or aberrations with my text and/or uploads, not to mention many other things that can go awry when my circadian rhythm is flipped 180°
Here is an older photo of a fellow toy camera afficianado Mike L admiring my newly acquired Fujipet in the city some time ago.
Not sure what I was doing with the Empire Junior at the time, but I succeeded in simultaneously overexposing and blurring Mike effectively in this shot. A bit of judicious curves adjustment took care of most of the blow-outs, but the blurring I liked (not that I could do much about it anyway)
You can tell Mike is looking through the Fujipet viewfinder due to it's unique retro-futuristic shape, there's nothing quite like it in the camera world I think!

I love those fujipet viewfinders. I'd love to have one myself, but you know, they're a little hard to come by. It's a cool shot - I like all the grain you get from overexposing so I don't mind that a bit. I can relate to the fuzziness of keeping weird hours - it's an occupational hazard for me. You just somehow keep on going :)
