Red Padlock

June 30, 2008

OK, I'm going to start posting my Polaroids with their frames from now on. It's something I've debated with myself about before, but at least for a while I'll try it. This is taken in one of my favourite back alleys in the City where just about every surface is painted. I think if I stood still long enough, I'd end up painted too!

I think in some way the polaroid frame is part of the art. who doesnt love it.
btw, it seems your white balance should be tweaked a little, little too much blue.
About that yellow spark in the middle isnt it the rollers to be cleaned :)

Thanks zage, I think you are right, (about the borders, blue shift and possibly the yellow streak), but I have had those sort of yellow artifacts from expired film also. I realised I had resized this polaroid without constraining proportions so had to re-upload it. At the same time I corrected the blue shift (which I was led to believe meant the polaroid was moving towards us!)
I think I need to get a proper monitor calibration device.

Nice shots. What was it? I really can't understand, though the shot is bright and colorfull.

Can you advice me anything for macro? I mean lense. I do landscape photos as usual, but suddenly got addicted to macro :) It would be nice to hear your opinion about lense..

I like the composition in this one, and the colors are fantastic. You've done a great job with this one. I never seem to get good results with my SX-70 so I hardly ever take it out.

Really compelling; I like the layers of color, and the incongruity of locking of something that on the surface seems unlikely to be broken into--makes me wonder what's lurking inside. Oh, and a thumbs-up on the Polaroid border; it adds to the mystique of the one-of-a-kind-object nature of the Polaroid.
