Spare Parts Long Past

May 13, 2007

This is a long closed down Auto Repairs shop in East Brunswick, covered in graffiti and resplendent in it's peeling paint over brick, old wood and corrugated iron texture. I have photographed it a few times in the past and part of this building served as a backdrop to my portrait of Jun.
Jun can in fact be seen (sort of) in this shot, in a blur of motion at stage right, jotting down his email address for me so I could send him his portrait...
An extended exposure of approximately 15 seconds using expired Polaroid 89 film in the pinhole Holga camera.

Thanks Phil, I love the feel the pinhole gives images, similar but a different kind of magic again to the toy camera look.
