Paper Mill

Something I don't often photograph, an industrial type shot. This one of the wonderfully sixties-ish style building and one of the chimney stacks of the Australian Paper Mill in Alphington, Melbourne. I'm not sure if it is still in operation, I think not...but I could be wrong. I know they have a recycled paper and cardboard depot there, so maybe some parts of the plant are still going. I'm rambling again aren't I? As usual I'm blethering on about complete shite too, very sory about that. Oh well...
This shot was taken using 30 years + expired film some details of which have light-leaked through onto the negative.

Plant is still in operation, afaik - when I went there, on a sunday, they certainly appeared seemed to be churning out pulped cardboard. APM --- Those were my impressions of the site - just a regular digital camera, however.
Love the accidental writing on the image, very cool.

Thanks Jonathan, glad to know it's still employing people and hopefully using renewable and recycled material rather than old growth forests to provide us with paper products! I like your shots.
LOL trotsky, perhaps the gamma on your screen is a bit brighter than mine or something, but I can make out "VERICHROME PAN" and a "2"

Verichrome pan is incredibly beautiful film and it's amazing how well it holds up after decades. Really a gorgeous picture you got out of it!
