The Wheel and The Angel

October 13, 2007

This shot is of my favourite public art piece Angel with The Big Wheel behind. Another shot from my new Diana + toy camera, you can see some light line marks running parallel to the 4.2 mask used in the camera. These artifacts seem to be a common factor with the new Diana+ using the 4.2 (16 shot) mask, it has been suggested that these are caused by light reflections inside the camera body from the mask itself. I have no idea.

It's a strange piece of art, I like the composition against the wheel

I have to do a road trip and come see The Angel in person. It's strange and fascinating! I understand that Melbourne is THE place for great art in Oz.

I love the wheel in the background. Your earlier shots of both are really great, too!

This is a cracking piece of public art Cameron...you've caught it so well here with the wheel in the background. I guess oyu could give the inside a pain with the right sort of non reflective paint to see if you can lose it.
