Chalk

May 28, 2007

My children had this “monster tub” of chalk and I was contemplating it one day, as you do. On impulse I grabbed my Polaroid SX-70, popped a close up filter on it and photographed the chalk from above. I like photographing supposedly "ordinary" objects from different perspectives as it often produces interesting results.
Camera: SX-70 with not as expired as the other Time Zero film on board.

This shot is also part of the collection at File Magazine. Prints available at RedBubble.

Thanks Angie and Phil, glad you like it.
Angie, re: your email addy ~ does that mean my emails to you haven't been getting through?

Wonderful shot. There is so much offered here that's intangible which makes this a great image. I hope having children isn't a requirement for the full pleasures of this shot to sink in.
