DollHead

November 25, 2007

Dolls are a bit creepy sometimes I find. This shot of one of the long suffering kids dolls left in the backyard was taken with the Diana + using the pinhole aperture, the very tiny aperture allowing me to get in very close to the subject.
It looks like it's shot on colour film, but that is just a result of having the B & W negative scanned in colour mode, sometimes the film gets a sepia-ish tone. In this particular instance it is weird how much like the colour of the plastic doll's head this tone actually is.

Camera: Diana + Film: Kodak 400TX

surreal. it's cool to think that all it takes is an artist's interpretation to make something totally benign become something very much the opposite. well done.

It is very surreal pinhole photography.

I like this offbeat view of a doll. You're doing some fantastic things with that Diana pinhole!
