Flag

January 2, 2008

After having a nice smooth wooden Zero Image 2000 pinhole camera sitting in it's nice cardboard box on the shelf for a few months because I didn't want to sully it with my filthy touch, I finally realised that I was being ridiculous. A camera is meant to be used, not archived! So here is one of my first Pinhole shots, taken with this camera. I liked this rusted weathered tin, part of a fuel can that I found flattened on a road near my home, like so much roadkill. When I took it home and nailed it to some retainer wall sleepers, it reminded me of a flag.

Camera: Zero Image 2000    Film: Agfa XPS 160 film.

Zero Camera is good, and a weathering catches it.

That's some beautiful color and texture. And I agree, a camera is meant to be used - very glad you decided to put this one through its paces.

The metal looks like it's glowing! Very cool. Are you leaving it up?
