Another Bloody Ferris Wheel Photo
June 15, 2007Anyway, I was heading away from Birrarung Mar and looked back over this parkland grassy sort of area and thought "that looks ok" and took a shot with my Diana. Only after I clicked the shutter did I remember to check the distance settings. Yep, 4 - 6 feet.
When I had the film developed and scanned in the negative this setting was confirmed. However, the more I looked at this, the more I liked it, and owing to the vagaries of the Diana's lens, there is a small area of focus near the hub of the Ferris Wheel, not that that makes this photo any better or worse than what it is, it just is.
I like it now anyway, which is a far better feeling than hating it...
I hope you can see some value in it too. Gotta go to work now, seeya.

cam, i'll come to australia and knock you upside the head if i need to... you sound so ho-hum about this image when it's spectacular! there is never anything dull about a ferris wheel :-) i cannot wait until a carnival and/or fair arrive here. keep 'em coming! :-)

Thanks Angie, I didn't really mean to sound ho-hun, I just thought I had uploaded quite a few ferris-wheel type pics lately. I, of course love 'em!
