Hut Under a Gnarly Tree with Clouds

October 10, 2007

This little corrugated-iron clad shack sits at the beginning of a track leading into Paul's property (Paul being the farmer I met who I presume owns the land which is one of the rapidly shrinking numbers of rural concerns in the outlying suburbs of Melbourne) Whilst I admit people need to live somewhere, I do regret urban sprawl, after all, where are we going to get our produce from if all the farms are squeezed out by property development?
This shack is a favourite subject of mine in various light and weather, although until the other day I had not captured it to my satisfaction with any one of my toy cameras to pop up on the plastic lens.

This is a beautiful, dreamy photo. The purple clouds are great. When I look at it I feel like I'm being drifting along into the scene.

This is fantastic cloud and scenery.
This scenery is not Japan.

The soft colors make it look like a painting. It`s so cool to see that some people still use film !!!

the well-worn path draws the eye right in, cam. such a warm photo. an added bonus are the paper/numbers at the very top of the frame. this is good.

Can I say it feels British? Sure I can! The dead tree against the sky is great. Don't know the film but like the colours.

The isolation of the shack and the soft colors make it such a striking picture - really a very beautiful scene - well done Cameron!
