Red Sticks

February 3, 2007

Taken last week when I was wandering near Federation square with Don Brice. There is a interactive-kinetic-type-scuplture called "The Red Centre" that is comprised of many (mainly red) fibreglass rods that move in the wind or can be moved by observers interacting with the scuplture. On a whim, I pointed my Diana F upwards and thrust it into the middle of the artwork and released the shutter.
(a different pov of this artwork can be seen here)

Camera: Diana F, Film: Fuji NPC 160
Prints available at RedBubble.

Did that just say, "...thrust it into the middle?" I am starting to get a feeling....back. Say, is this the same structure as seen in this link?

Probably not, but sure looks close to it. I thought yours was something found in a playground for kids to muck about...uh, maybe not...then you would have impalements all over the place. Nyuck...

Hi beck! Hmmmm, what are you trying to say Beck?

Nope, this is a diufferent structure although Skorj's one is quite cool. I'll try and get a photo to you of the thing from a more recognisable POV.
