The Rings

August 12, 2007

This image is the left frame of a stereo pair showing these ring-like sculptures at the Melbourne Docklands. This image is taken with my new toy, a Sputnik camera made by the famous LOMO company of Russia. A medium format stereo camera, it has so many faults and quirks, I of course, can't help but love it! An original traditional 2-dimensional photo taken with my Diana camera can be seen here, before they put a lot of advertising crap on the boarding behind it (along with construction cranes and hardware behind that)

To see this image in 3-D get some red-cyan stereo glasses and go here: Rings in 3D

Camera: Lomo Sputnik Stereo Camera, Film: Fuji Provia 100F negative transparency

Last week I was at the Docklands with a friend and saw some of these things you've photographed. I think you're making them look even MORE interesting with your camera.

Thanks Angie, I wish I could send those silly red/blue glasses to all my visitors! Amy, you are too kind! I try and make things interesting in my photos, sometimes it works...
