Abstract Microscopic Polaroid

December 16, 2007

This abstract looking Polaroid is actually a detail of the stamen and pollen of a flower as seen through a microscope by a Polaroid SX-70 camera. I have an adapter for the camera that fits onto a microscope eyepiece. This shot looks even more weird because of the artifacts induced by the expired integral film.
I would like to apologise for my lack of reply to comments lately. I have been on night shift and whilst adapting back to daylight hours have been a bit unwell. Please forgive my seeming lack of courtesy, I really do appreciate all the visits and comments I get!

Camera: SX-70    Film: Expired Time-Zero (SX-70)

Who in the world has an adapter like that? :-D Looks inpressive though and some piece of art because of the expiration artifacts.
