Steam Power 861

November 23, 2007

Hi everyone! I'm still away, trying to update the site with a picture taken on World Toy Camera Day, but I am on the crappiest wireless connection ever, at the caravan park we are staying at, so whether you see this or not is up to the internet gods...I've been trying for 15 minutes now and still the bloody page won't load, so I'm writing this in a text editor in anticipation of squeezing the last 2 minutes of my paid forbut totally useless internet time giving you some salient details. As usual I've only ended up whinging again.

This is Engine 861 in the Puffing Billy stables. A cute little narrow gauge steam engine, here seen shunting around on the tracks at Emerald, in the ranges near Melbourne.

The camera used for this little bit of steam-power is the Asiana. I'm using Ilford XP2 Super film in this instance.

The blur makes it feel like the engine is moving quickly.

Hope you enjoyed your break!
