Towel Tent

February 19, 2008

My girls having fun at the beach. Taken not that long ago, but given a nostalgic feel courtesy of the colours of Polaroid integral film coupled with the unique artifacts that expired film of this sort can give.

polaroid stripesOn February 8, 2008 Polaroid Corporation announced that it will discontinue production of the instant film that made the company a household name. Save Polaroid serves as a home-base for the effort to convince another company to take over and begin producing the cherished technology that Polaroid has abandoned.Further to my previous post ~ Save Polaroid is a new website set up to promote the cause behind retaining the unique technology that lies behind Polaroid Instant Photography - watch this space! There is also the Save Polaroid Flickr Group and a 'digg this' save polaroid thang (see link below)!
