Cow Up A Tree

August 23, 2007

Here is yet another wonderful public artwork in the Melbourne Docklands precinct.
stereophotogeek This whimsical large sculpture by Australian sculptor John Kelly was inspired by a violent flood which swept cattle into trees in Gippsland, Victoria.
This was another image taken with the Sputnik Stereo Camera and here is the 3D version.

Camera: Sputnik, Film: Fuji Provia 100F negative transparency

The blue sky and the art object of the cow are very nice.

Oh my god, I love this so much. Before I read the explanation I was thinking it would be so great if there were a gigantic trebuchet not too far away, pointed in the direction of the tree. You've got some really great public art where you live!
