Trike and Shadows

April 9, 2007

Bright primary colours (and shiny objects) attract my eye, I think I must be part Magpie, or Bower bird. No shiny objects here, but the colours of the child's trike certainly made me point the Diana in it's direction. Combined with the neutral tones and intersecting lines of shadows from the balustrades and the gaps between the timber planks on the verandah, I thought this might make a nice composition.

i'm with you. i love primary colors. they work so well with crappy toy cameras, too ;-) maybe they think they're long, lost siblings?! very nice, cameron. as. always!

Thank you Angie I believe that deep down, plastic cameras want us all to shoot in colour! (but then again, black and white looks great with them too...oh, lets do both!)

I love the way the plastic lens gives colour another quality, a softness and a roundness if that makes any sense at all!

It makes sense to me Phil! (but that may be a worry...)
