After uploading some software ‘analouge emulation’ images I thought we should get back to some actual real images (in the sense that the photo exists in tangible physical form, either as a negative or print as compared with 0′s and 1′s of binary data storage) This particular image was captured in my brother’s study (he really does have some interesting books, objects and miscellaneous stuff). I had the Holga Pinhole Camera (with Polaroid back) on a tripod and triggered my hand held flash unit about a gazillion times (no science involved, I just kept triggering it until I thought I had ‘about enough light’ to make an image) This post is a test of the WordPress application for the android t-touch tablet I have been provided with (by Telstra) for the purpose of review. I’m running it through it’s paces and will have a full review (in video and written form) up sometime next week, for those curious.

Here’s something a bit different for a change, eclectic subject matter, as seems to be my wont – I refuse to have my photography pigeon-holed!
This is a vertical dyptych of two Polaroid 500 shots, taken on a Polaroid ‘Vision’ camera (also sold as the Captiva), another folding SLR job from Mr Land’s stables before they went kaflooey. The film is colour film, but almost looks monochrome/sepia here due to it being a tad old (like me).
I still have a pack of 500 integral film (expired of course) left which I better put through the camera before the chemical pods in the film dry out (if they haven’t already)…oh well, not much more to say at the moment. Work is work, not too bad I suppose, but I really do hang out for my time off so I can make more photographs. Cheers all!

Here is an interesting photograph from a couple of years ago. It was taken on WPPD (World Pinhole Photography Day) as part of a series of pinhole Rose captures. I used a Holga converted to a pinhole camera, with a Polaroid back attached. The Roe in thi instance turned out looking very 2-dimensional as opposed to other shots I took of it. I quite like the abstract feel it gives to this simple subject.

This talented young fellow is one of the Melbourne Flickrites and I caught up with him early in April, along with many other photogs at one of our monthly meets. Most of us take a camera or two and this meet was no exception, I myself took a Polaroid 600SE, EE100 and the little Superheadz Demekin 110 camera.
I was snapping portraits with my Polaroid folder, the EE100 and Ahmad wanted me to take one of him. I asked him what look he wanted and he replied “Gangsta!” He’s a funny guy. He borrowed a cigarette from Barb (another Flickrite), although I don’t think he smokes, but it was for ‘the look’ and struck a pose. We were both quite happy with the result. He signed it (verso):

“To Cam
I like!
Ahmad S”

When I posted it on flickr he left a comment:
“Im sending this photo to my auntie… as soon as her village buy a new donkey, she’ll go up the mountain and go searchin for a new bride for me…this time ive asked her for a petite women who doesnt eat a lot (economic crisis)”
- as I said before, he IS a funny guy.
(which reminds me, I must get a copy to him)

Camera: Polaroid EE100
Film: Polaroid Packfilm “Choco” expired 07/08 – note: this choco film is meant to be sepia, but some people have commented that it has a distincly salmony pink tint.

Another image from the ‘old’ plastic lens which I am transferring to the ‘new’ plastic lens. (some comments will be older than post date as they have been transferred from the original post) Original post date: June 7 2007
I’m not sure why, but my eldest developed a strong attachment to this prawn at my sister-in-law’s company picnic. So much so she wanted to bring it home and make it her “pet”. We had to assure her it would go a bit off and wasn’t really an appropriate choice for an animal companion, especially considering it was, not to put too fine a point on it…dead. Besides, she still had the deaf cat, crazy chickens, and fluctuating number of goldfish at home.
So she contented herself with a polaroid memory, although in this instance the expired film gave her a bit of a prawny colouring in some sort of weird coincidence.
