Here is an interesting photograph from a couple of years ago. It was taken on WPPD (World Pinhole Photography Day) as part of a series of pinhole Rose captures. I used a Holga converted to a pinhole camera, with a Polaroid back attached. The Roe in thi instance turned out looking very 2-dimensional as opposed to other shots I took of it. I quite like the abstract feel it gives to this simple subject.

I am continuing to rebuild theplasticlens photo gallery after having major server problems with the old one. I have uploaded some images and assigned them the date they were uploaded on the ‘original site’ and have been manually reposting all comments made (including links back to the commenters sites if they had any) ~ it’s a time consuming job. Occasionally (like now) I will post an old item afresh, because I hope people who haven’t seen these photos might appreciate them. So if you see comments that were posted seemingly prior to an image posting date, it is because it has been reposted with the previous comments attached. Originally posted in April 2008 here is my original text entry for this image:

It’s the day after worldwide pinhole photography day and I have had the roll from my Zero Image 2000 developed by our friendly local (relatively local) lab! This is one from reasonably late in the day, taken against the backdrop of our kitchen wall. It’s the old dead rose thing again, but I like the lighting in this one, a lot. About a 3 minute exposure here, with makeshift illumination. I have still to finish the Diana + roll, but have some Polaroid Pinholga shots to scan, so you may see some of them too. I hope everyone had a productive pinhole day – if you would like to see how the family helped me spend this years pinhole day look at World Pinhole Day Family Fun, a Short Video
